Linda C. Maljovec
Linda Christine Maljovec, 66, of Mentor, Ohio, and formerly of Kane, passed away Wednesday (May 23, 2018) at the Cleveland Clinic, with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 28, 1951, in Kane, she was a daughter of Joseph and Joyce McKenna Maljovec.
Linda held a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Care Administration from Ursuline College and was an active member in health care trade associations including AAHAM. She joined what is now Receivables Outsourcing, Inc. in Cleveland in 1988 and was named a Vice President. Previously, she had served as the Administrator of the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Linda is survived by her father, Joseph Maljovec of Kane; a brother, John (Patricia) Maljovec of Warren; two sisters, Kathy (Patrick) Dugan of Pittsburgh and Susan (Michael) Dallessandro of Midland, Michigan. Several nieces and nephews and greatnieces and greatnephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce McKenna Maljovec; and a brother, Michael, in infancy.
Friends will be received Sunday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. An additional visitation will be held Monday from 8:00 am to 9:00 am in the gathering space at St. Callistus Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 am. with the Rev. William O'Brien and the Rev. Philip Pinczewski concelebrating. Entombment will be in St. Callistus Mausoleum.
