Karl E. Hagman, 94, of 10 Hill St. Mt. Jewett, died early Friday morning at the Lutheran Home at Kane where he had recently resided.
He was born Feb. 19, 1924 in Clermont, the son of the late Fred and Anna (Anderson) Hagman. He married Dorothy Nelson, who survives, on Aug. 12, 1953 in Johnsonburg.
Mr. Hagman was a graduate of the Mt. Jewett High School. He went to work the day after he graduated for Pennzoil and remained there for 45 years, before retiring in 1986 as the Superintendent. He was a member of the 32 degree Masonic Lodge in Wilcox and the Mt. Jewett Veterans Memorial Club and he had served in the Army during WWII.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one brother, Harold Hagman of Kane; two nieces, Dr. Heidi Hagman-Linn of OR and Marlene Hagman of CA; five nephews, Eric Hagman of Pittsburgh, Keith Hagman of FL, Kurt Hagman of OR, William Anderson of Warren, OH and James Nelson Jr. of Wilcox and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Esther Hagman and two brothers, Ben and William Hagman.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family and will be followed by burial in Wilcox Cemetery.
