Emil Timothy Johnson
Emil Timothy Johnson, 61, of Mt. Jewett, died Sunday (February 25, 2018) at his home.
Born October 11, 1956, in Kane, he was a son of Kay Johnson Pearson of Hazel Hurst and the late Theodore C. Johnson. On June 30, 1979, in Mt. Jewett, he married Karen Stenberg who survives.
Tim served for 20 years as a civilian employee of the Pennsylvania State Police as a communications operator at the Ridgway and Kane stations. Prior to that, he had worked for 20 years as a petroleum engineer at the Pennzoil Company in Bradford.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and was a Past Master of the former Masonic Lodge in Mt. Jewett. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and motorcycle riding with his sons. He also coached Little League Baseball and was an avid Steeler's fan. Most of all, Tim enjoyed spending quality time with his sons and family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are two sons, Joshua Todd Johnson and Jordan Timothy Johnson, both of Mt. Jewett; two brothers, Ted (Kim) Johnson of Fairfax, VA and Todd (Laura) Johnson of Titusville; a brother-in-law, Alan Stenberg of Sheffield; a sister-in-law, Diane (Tom) Clark of Cherry Grove; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Irvin and Violet Stenberg; his brother-in-law, Carl Stenberg; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where services will follow at 2:00 pm with the Rev. David Pflieger officiating. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery.
